Role of Occupational Health Service

Occupational health seek to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of employees, with the aim of ensuring a positive relationship between an employee's work and health. OHS can provide medical input and assist in the recognition of health risks, their severity, and potential impact on the health of a worker, including, their physical and psychological capability to undertake a job task. Our staff can advise on the need to develop suitable ongoing schemes to detect early signs of work-related ill health and check that controls are protective; the need for workplace adjustments, management controls, and provide a review of the effectiveness of controls on the health of a worker.
