This online training course is aimed at persons who may look after, or wish to know more about, equipment that may emit hazardous levels of Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Radiation and the arrangements in place at the University. No prior EMF safety knowledge is required as a prerequisite for this course. A short assessment is included at the end of the course which you must complete to demonstrate competency. The pass mark is 80%.The information provided in the course must be supplemented by local training and instruction in practical procedures in the department before a worker begins their work with potentially hazardous EMF sources.This training should be refreshed at regular intervals which is assumed to be every 3-5 years.
