Provided for those who will be transporting radioactive material by road across the University. Course Details When radioactive material is being transported on public roads, i.e. from one campus to another, there is a requirement that those transporting the material should undergo training. The RPU have added a transport module to the Basic Course in Radiation Protection in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and Therapy Learn course. Those requiring transport training should take: Module C - Transport of Radioactive Materials Introduction Module if the user requires background information on hazards and risks from radioactive materials - it is advised that all users should take this module unless they have a strong background working with radioactive material Competence Assessment There is a short 10 question competence assessment that must be completed once you have watched the training video. Upon successful completion of the assessment please email radiation@ed.ac.uk who will provide you with a certificate.
