Building Fire Response Training

This training is designed to cover the procedures and arrangements for those nominated to assist with the evacuation of their building(s).

This training is designed to cover the procedures and arrangements for those nominated to assist with the evacuation of their building(s). It should be repeated at least every 3 years.

Audience

This training is required to be completed by Fire Coordinators, Fire Stewards, Incident Coordinators, Servitors and other similar, relevant roles who are involved in evacuations as the result of a fire/fire alarm.

University staff who wish to become a Fire Steward, or would like to attend refresher training, should self-enrol on this course.

Course duration

The course lasts 1.5 hours and is delivered in person. Please arrive promptly for the start time.

Registration

The course is available to book via People and Money.  Please self-enrol on a suitable offering.

As the Fire Safety Unit are holding this training on a regular basis, we would request that staff enrol on one of the available offerings, to alleviate the time and resource previously spent to organise ad-hoc training for specific areas.

Offerings (dates) with venues secured are listed below.  Further dates will be made available for self-enrolment once room bookings are secured for the training.  Please be assured that the future dates will go ahead, in the campus area listed.

The course requires a minimum of 12 attendees to run so please book with this in mind.  If the minimum number is not reached, the offering will be cancelled and you should enrol on the next suitable offering.  There is no maximum number of attendees.
