This training provides guidance on fire safety at the University, and should be undertaken by all staff. All staff must receive fire safety training when they start at the University and at least every 3 years following. They should also receive an in-person induction in the main areas they work in to show them fire escape routes and doors, as well as be informed of fire alarms and assembly points.Course outlineThe areas of training consist of;IntroductionFire PreventionIn an emergencyFighting firesThe training is mandatory for all staff and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.Accessing the courseThe course is available for staff to self-enrol on People and Money.
