Guidance on minibus driver vision test Eye sight test requirement There is no longer a requirement to undertake a vision screening test via the Occupational Health Unit prior to authorisation to drive a University minibus. However, all minibus drivers must undertake an eye sight test at an Optician at least once every two years. These tests are currently free in Scotland. It is recommended that you inform the Optician that you will be driving minibuses. A copy of the results of this vision test (prescription certificate) must be given to the Minibus Driving Assessor who has authorised you to drive minibuses on University business. The authorisation process has now been taken over by the Transport Office, Estates Department, please contact them for further information. This article was published on 2024-07-22
