System Communication

All communications generated through OPAS G2 are sent from StaffHealthDisabilityandWellbeingServices@ed.ac.uk. This is a confidential mailbox managed by the Health & Wellbeing Business Support Team.

OPAS G2 is used by both the Occupational Health Service and the Staff Disability Advice Service for case management. While communications from both services are issued from the same mailbox, access to case information within OPAS G2 is strictly restricted to the relevant service.

This means that Occupational Health cannot access information held by the Staff Disability Advice Service, and the Staff Disability Advice Service cannot access information held by Occupational Health. This separation is maintained to protect the confidentiality and privacy of staff information.

Workplace adjustment form and guidance

To support staff and managers in discussing, agreeing and recording reasonable adjustments, the Staff Disability Advice Service has developed a Workplace adjustments form.

This is a live record of adjustments agreed between the staff member and their line manager. For more information, please read the Workplace adjustments form - guide for staff and managers.

For a printable version of the form which you can fill out by hand, click here.

The University of Edinburgh also has a Disabled Staff Network, this provides a network of mutual support and a collective voice for disabled staff.
