Introduction to health and safety at the University All staff must receive a health and safety induction when they start at the University. They should also receive an induction into any new work areas if they are transferring internally. Each School/Service should decide themselves how to manage inductions – this can be a mixture of in-person, online videos/training courses, on the job training etc. Our dedicated Induction to health and safety page outlines what should be included in an induction. This short training video can be used locally as an outline of how health and safety is managed at the University. Staff should also receive Awareness of health and safety training.
