The Health and Safety Department provide first aid training to our community. First aid requirements Requirements under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Training Facilities All courses are run in the Health and Safety Training and Audit Unit's training facilities in Charles Stewart House on Chambers Street. First Aid at Work A three day course which provides detailed training in theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid at work. First Aid at Work Requalification A two day course to update the First Aid at Work certificate when their certificate expires after three years. First Aid at Work Annual Refresher This three hour course is aimed at staff who wish to refresh their skills and knowledge having previously attained the First Aid at Work qualification but not due for Requalification training within the next six months. Emergency First Aid at Work This one day course is aimed at staff who wish to attain a basic knowledge of first aid and become competent at Emergency First Aid at Work. CPR and Defibrillator Training This course is aimed at staff who would like to learn how to perform CPR and use an AED.
