Short course outlining the purpose and selection of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) Respiratory Protective Equipment is one of the last considerations to control a substances hazardous to health, such as dust or chemicals. Any staff or student who is required to wear RPE during their work, should undertake this overview training. Once the user has been facefit tested or been provided with a powered hood (depending upon the risk assessment), they must also complete the Tight-fitting RPE or Powered Hood training, as appropriate. (The Tight-fitting RPE and Powered Hood training courses are currently being migrated to People and Money/Learn Ultra and will be available very soon).
