An introduction to health and safety for those who have responsibility for managing University personnel (staff, students, visitors) and facilities.
All staff who manage staff, students or visitors have responsibility for their health and safety.
This course is aimed at those individuals who have responsibility for people or facilities, which would include Research Group Leaders, Principal Investigators, Laboratory Managers, Line Managers, Facilities Managers, etc.
Course outline
The course is divided into three parts and covers:
Health and safety law and University Health and Safety Policy
University management structure and roles and responsibilities
Risk management, training, accident and incident reporting and other information
